DonaVida: give the possibility of motherhood or fatherhood to those who want it most
Donating eggs or sperm is one of the most generous acts that exist. It's the possibility for another person to experience motherhood or fatherhood. At Ingenes we do it with medical care, ethical safety, and complete anonymity.
DonaVida is Ingenes' exclusive program for egg and sperm donation. It operates under principles of altruism, voluntariness, and total anonymity: one person donates their reproductive cells so others can fulfill their dream of having a baby.
Every year, thousands of people in Mexico achieve motherhood or fatherhood thanks to this Assisted Reproduction alternative. Single women, female couples, and men and women with conditions that make conceiving with their own gametes difficult find in donation the path they needed.
- ~0 people fulfill their dream each year thanks to donation
- 0 of 10 assisted reproduction treatments need this support
- 0% anonymous, voluntary, and altruistic
- +0 years of Ingenes experience in assisted reproduction
A program with purpose: making more families possible
DonaVida was born from a simple, powerful idea: that people who can't conceive with their own eggs or sperm have, thanks to the generosity of others, the real possibility of becoming moms or dads.
The program operates under strict medical, ethical, and legal protocols. Every donor goes through a rigorous evaluation process that protects their health and the health of those who will receive the donated gametes.
Behind every donation there's a story: the donor's, yes, but also the recipient's. And many times, the story of a baby who arrives thanks to that gesture.

A program with ethics, safety, and purpose
DonaVida combines the medical experience of Latin America's leading fertility institute with a clear ethical framework that protects all parties.
-
Truly altruistic act
Donation is voluntary, anonymous, and made out of conviction, not economic interest. Compensation covers the donor's time, transfers, and care, but the real motivation is helping others.
-
Comprehensive medical safety
Complete medical evaluation, genetic studies, infectious disease tests, and monitoring throughout the entire process. We care for the donor with the same rigor we use for those who receive.
-
Anonymity and confidentiality
The donor's identity is kept in strict secrecy under current legislation. Neither recipients nor third parties can access the donor's personal information.
Who can be part of the DonaVida program?

Frequently asked questions about egg and sperm donation
What is egg and sperm donation?
It's a voluntary and anonymous act in which a person donates their reproductive cells (eggs or sperm) so others can access an Assisted Reproduction treatment and have a baby. Donation is carried out under medical, ethical, and legal protocols.
Who can donate eggs or sperm in Mexico?
Women between 18 and 32 years old (egg donation) and men between 18 and 35 years old (sperm donation), in good health, with a healthy weight-height ratio, and who pass all medical, genetic, and psychological evaluations of the program.
Is donation anonymous?
Yes, completely. The donor's identity is kept in strict confidentiality under current legislation. Neither recipients nor third parties can access the donor's personal information.
Is it safe to donate eggs or sperm?
Yes. The process is carried out in specialized centers with continuous medical monitoring. The previous evaluation, follow-up during the donation, and subsequent control ensure the donor's health and the quality of donated gametes.
Does donation have economic compensation?
There is compensation that covers the donor's time, transfers, care, and discomfort. It is not a payment for the donated cells, since donation is governed by principles of altruism. Compensation recognizes the effort the process involves.
How long does the donation process take?
The initial evaluation and studies take between 2 and 4 weeks. Sperm donation is quick and non-invasive. Egg donation requires ovarian stimulation of 10 to 14 days followed by an outpatient puncture with sedation. In total, the complete egg donation process lasts between 1 and 2 months.
Does donating affect my own future fertility?
No. Donating eggs or sperm doesn't affect your reproductive reserve or your ability to be a mom or dad in the future. Ovarian stimulation uses eggs that your body would naturally discard in that cycle, and sperm donation is a natural process that doesn't compromise your fertility.
