Dr. Eduardo Cruz Rivera

About him:

Dr. Eduardo Cruz began his studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, **which he completed with distinction.**He then continued his studies at the “Instituto Nacional de Perinatología Isidro Espinosa de los Reyes” where he obtained his specialty in Gynecology and Obstetrics.

In addition to his great academic and professional career, Dr. Eduardo completed a high Specialty in Human Reproductive Biology supported by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Among his most outstanding achievements are the following:

• Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery at the Hospital Ángeles Clínica Londres, endorsed by the Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad Anáhuac.
• Certified Specialist in Human Reproductive Biology endorsed by the Mexican Council of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
• “Twin Pregnancy in Adolescents: Impact of age on perinatal outcomes”. 1st. place in the poster contest of the XVII Regional Congress “Comprehensive care for women: safety and quality”, of the Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Obstetricia y Ginecología and the Colegio Mexicano de Especialistas en Ginecología y Obstetricia.

His participation in many international congresses such as:

• The 74nd Scientific Congress, American Society for Reproductive Medicine at Denver, USA.
• Transcongress Course: XXI COMEGO Congress, Mexican Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Colleges A.C. and Mexican College of Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialists.
• 51st Mexican Congress of Reproductive Medicine, Mexican Association of Reproductive Medicine A.C.

Dr. Cruz has written and participated in the research and publication of more than 50 scientific articles, such as:

• “Adverse Perinatal Outcomes in Mexican Women with Assisted vs. Spontaneous Twin Pregnancies” (2012)
• “Effect of sperm cryopreservation on semen samples from fertile and infertile men” (2011)
• TSH levels and their association with pregnancy rates in infertile women managed with In Vitro fertilization.
