Hi, we’re Carla and Diego, and we are the parents of Santiago and Sebastián, our two miracles.
We always believed that because we were young, the path to becoming parents would be simple. We thought it would just be a matter of trying and waiting for a positive test… but the positives never came.
After many failed attempts, we decided to seek help and arrived at Ingenes. There, we received a diagnosis I never imagined hearing at such a young age: PCOS and teratozoospermia, along with a phrase that marked me deeply: “You’ll need IVF to become a mom.”
That moment was hard. Not only because of the process itself, but because of everything it stirred up emotionally: fear, sadness, anger, and a guilt I didn’t deserve to feel.
During the process, there were very difficult days. Injections, tests, appointments, endless waiting, and moments when I felt like my body was failing me. But we were never alone. The support from the Ingenes Tijuana team and Dr. Nicolás Kameyama was key to not giving up. We always found clear answers, compassionate care, and the feeling that someone was walking alongside us, even when our spirits were low.
There were moments when I thought I couldn’t go on, but faith, love, and constant support gave me the strength to keep going. Over time, I understood that this path, even though painful, was preparing us for something much bigger than we ever imagined.
Today, looking at our twins, we understand everything. Santiago and Sebastián arrived at the perfect time. They are proof that God never forgot about us, that every tear was seen and every prayer was heard. They are the greatest gift of this process and the reason our hearts are full of gratitude today.
If I could say something to those going through a similar situation, it would be this: you are not alone, infertility does not define you, and your story is not over yet. Sometimes the path isn’t what we imagined, but it can lead us exactly where we need to be.
Today we are a family that overcame infertility, and every day, when we look at our children, we remember that it was all worth it.
