Dr. Norma Barrera began her studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), which she completed with distinction. She then continued her studies at the General Hospital of Mexico where she obtained her Specialty in gynecology and obstetrics.
In addition to her great academic and professional career, Dr. Norma took a specialized course in colposcopy and lower genital tract lesions at the Hospital Lic. Adolfo López Mateo.
Among his most outstanding achievements are the following:
Lecturer at the XXIV conference: "Uterine clamping in postpartum obstetric hemorrhage" of the Annual Meeting of the Medical Society of the General Hospital of Mexico.
Her participation in numerous seminars and congresses such as:
Seminar "VIII Jornada Academica". Mother and Child Hospital Topilejo.
Seminar "Primeras Jornadas de Educación e Investigación del Hospital General de México".
First national congress on safe pregnancy and obstetric emergencies CONDESEO.
Dr. Barrera has written and participated in the research and publication of multiple scientific posters, such as:
"Frequency in the use of hysterectomy and uterine artery clamping for the management of obstetric haemorrhage in the general hospital of Mexico".
"Pregnancy in a patient with Townes Brocks Syndrome".
"Giant hydronephrosis in pregnancy".
Poster "Low grade endometrial sarcoma in a 28 year old patient".
