Vasectomy

Vasectomy is the surgical sterilisation of men and consists of cutting, clamping or cauterising the vas deferens to prevent sperm from passing from the epididymis to the urethra and thus prevent them from meeting the egg and fertilising it.
Is it reversible?

This is considered a permanent method of sterilisation.

The rejoining of the sperm ducts is called vaso-vasostomy and is possible; however, the chances of success of this surgical rejoining are very low, since the amount of sperm incorporated into the seminal fluid is lower.

The surgical procedure of vasectomy reversal brings together the two separate segments of the vas deferens using microscopic stitches.

In some cases, this allows sperm to move from the epididymis to the urethra, however, it does not guarantee that the sperm count will return to what it was before and the patient is likely to end up undergoing sperm retrieval treatment combined with an IVF+ICSI cycle anyway.
